Bio
Jerral Wayne Jones’ parents are Arminta Jones and J.W. Jones. The businessman was born in Los Angeles, which is located in one of the states of the United States of America, called California. However, he grew up in North Little Rock, which is found in Arkansas, as J.W. Jones owned an insurance firm there. Jerry went to North Little Rock High School, and he was a part of the school’s football team, where he served as the ‘running back’ player.
After he accepted a football scholarship from the University of Arkansas, he managed to be the co-captain, and he was a starting guard in their football team. In 1964 he and his teammates such as Glen Ray Hines and Jimmy Johnson won the National Championship. Their coach was a Hall of Famer Frank Broyles.

After he finished school in 1965, Jones began working at Modern Security Life of Springfield as executive vice president. This was in his father’s insurance company, and two years later, he got the opportunity of buying San Diego Charges, an AFL team. Still, the entrepreneur instead decided to obtain his master’s degree. He did so in 1970, and he started an oil and gas exploration firm in Oklahoma, which in the course of the next twenty years was more than successful.
