2. Visit Paradise Island
The Atlantis Hotel and Resort is on Paradise Island, but you do not need to be a guest to take advantage of some of their attractions. One of these is their casino. Hotel guests do get certain perks, but outside guests can also participate in the fun.
3. The Glass Window Bridge
Located in Eleuthera, the Glass Window Bridge is something that everyone should see and experience. Hikers and naturalists from around the world come to marvel at the stunning views. The bridge is free, which adds to its appeal, and it connects Gregory Town with the Lower Brogue. Measuring 30 feet wide at its narrowest point, it can be a scary drive for some drivers. However, the view from both points of the bridge (and while you are crossing) is well worth the occasional moments of terror. This usually only happens when the sea is churned up.
4. John Watling’s Distillery
Tired of snorkeling and laying on the beach? Visit this distillery on New Providence Island. It is famous for its’ rum, but this is not the only spirit distilled here. Sample vodka that has been filtered with the pink sand found on Eleuthera. You can even try gin infused with plants from Andros. In between sampling native island liquors, relax and enjoy a tour and tasting session.
