Know Your Agent Type
As many other games on the market, Valorant offers a few different choices in terms of the type of character you choose. While each has their own kit, all of them fall under a certain type.
Duelists specialize in attacking and they are the most offensive type and therefore the most aggressive. If you like 1V1 battles, pick a duelist like Jett, Phoenix, Raze, Reyna, Yoru, or Neon.
Sentinels are the main defensive line and can lock down areas protecting the teammates. Think of them as tanks. Sentinels include the likes of Cypher, Chamber, Killjoy, and Sage.

Pick the Guns You Know
Valorant has a very diverse set of guns players can buy. There are six gun types, each with their own sets of advantages and disadvantages. According to your play style, your agent, and your class, you should pick the one that suits you best. The loadout matters because it is the tool that you use to kill the enemies. There is not much else to it. There are five sidearm choices, two SMGs, two shotguns, four rifles, two snipers, and two heavy guns.
